When are the WORSHIP SERVICES?
New! We've added an "early service" to handle our growth. So now our Sunday morning Worship celebrations are at 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM. In the 10:30 service, children may begin in the worship service for the first 10-15 minutes, then our Children's Team escorts them upstairs for a special Kidz Zone children's worship time geared to provide fun activities and learning tools on their level. They will be returned to the worship center just before the Offering time near the end of the service. From time to time, our children are involved in various aspects of the Sunday morning ("big church") worship service--often helping with music, helping to collect the offering, sharing verses, helping with a children's sermon & object lessons, etc.
Why do you have church on Sunday evenings? Sunday Evenings have a different purpose & format. Our Sunday evening Talkback Time at 5:00 PM is a very relaxed worship, teaching and discussion time with lessons you'll be able to take home with you and use during the week. Usually the Sunday evening lessons provide a practical forum that helps apply the lesson from Sunday morning. This is primarily designed to tie in with our Strengthening mission. Sunday night lessons have included:
- Get Fit Lessons on having a daily Quiet Time
- Practical Ways to Get Fit in your Christian life (finances, witnessing, etc.)
- Family Dynamics: Husbands, wives, parents, children issues
- Questions...Most frequently asked questions about the Bible.
- Critical Issues Families Face from Proverbs
- Creation vs Evolution video lessons with Dr Kent Hovind
- The Way of the Master video & discussion which deals with how to share your faith the way Jesus did in a very practical way.
- Spiritual Gifts study taught by Pastor Dave & Pastor Brandon
What happens on Wednesday nights? Wednesday Mid-Week Meetings... We also offer a mid-week Wednesday night time together at 6:30 PM (Supper is available from 5:00 --6:15; First time guests are free, call or email for reservations). There are activities for all ages from pre-school on up.
Our Adult mid-week Bible study, prayer and connection time on Wednesdays is an encouraging time where we share together in an informal setting as we study God's Word. During our study, we discuss how to apply God's Word to our everyday problems and needs. Then we lift those needs up to God together. There is worship, BIble study & prayer.
Wednesday studies also include Wrestling with Gorillas, a parenting class, Financial Peace University, a study in what the Bible says about finances and a workshop to get your finances tuned up; and Finding My PLACE, a study on spiritual gifts and how God equips and calls each Christian to find their place in serving Him.
Each Wednesday evening our children have AWANA Club and Students meet for Impact worship and special teaching geared for students. (See the Ministries tab above for more on Chidren's Ministry, Student Ministry and Worship Ministry)
What is your Small Group Bible Study / Sunday School?
Small group Bible classes offer for visitors and members alike, an opportunity to meet new people in a small-group setting and grow deeper in their faith. Classes are offered for children, students, single adults and married adults. Most of our small groups meet on Sunday mornings at 9:00 or 10:30 AM. We have several Home Bible study groups also. More on Bible study groups...
Do you offer CHILDCARE?
The Children's and Pre-school ministries are excellent.
We have a wonderful dedicated staff of teachers and leaders who love children! Children and parents are given matching badges that are checked when pre-schoolers are picked up. We offer childcare for babies and older. We also provide a church nursery paging system with "restaurant-type" pagers parents carry with them to Bible study and worship. This gives parents peace-of-mind knowing they can be immediately notified if they are needed. Only the needed parent is notified silently without distraction to others. (Nursery Base unit is pictured at left)
What about Children's Church?
Kindergartners and children in grades 1-6 are also offered dynamic Bible studies and large group fellowship featuring music, dramas, videos, puppets and much more. The first Sunday of each month we have the children stay in "big church" and plan a children's message and other ways for the children to be involved in leading and participating in worship (children help by leading in prayer, reading Bible verses, sharing special music, assist with the offering, etc.).
